The experience at the Vikram Hospital was way beyond my boundaries of ethical comfort. The director of the hospital giving us the lecture/slide show/discussion/argument with Tod was sufficient inquiry about India's leading hospital.Allowing students in the restricted areas of the hospital was crossing the line. We were on a tour and students were photographing patients and their family members. There is a thin line between what is acceptable and what's not. Apparently, India disregards boundaries-considering how they drive.
Linking our visit to our class discussion today; business ethics in India is either boring or traditionally out dated. I personally enjoy reading and interpreting various ethical dilemmas. Our professor today was not doing it for me. However ethically stimulating India's economic reforms are in comparison to America's, visiting Vikram's Hospital did not prove their point.
